NaNoWriMo

November is the National Novel Writing Month, and I thought I’d give it a try this year. In truth, I’d never heard of it prior to this year, but with our busy schedule, it seems unlikely I’ll be able to pull off the feat. The goal is a 50,000 word novel of any (though likely poor) quality. What else could be accomplished in a single month?

Well, in light of my challenges, I’ve decide d to scrap (or temporarily shelf) the first thousand words of my epic mystery set in sub-Sahara Africa and focus instead on lulling you all into a deep slumber with my blogging ad nauseum. You might ask, “how are you doing”? Well, that’s an interesting question. To date I’ve written 5 blog posts (this post included) in the month of November for a total of 3,757 words. So, to make a long story, well uh, long, that’s 46,275 more words by the end of the month! I’ll apologize in advance just in case I hit the target.
